New Year's Eve – 1963
Anne and I, accompanied by John Herbie Nunnally, took the Staten Island Ferry after 11:00 p.m. and passed the lighted Statue of Liberty. We returned on the same ferry and stepped onto Manhattan Island at the stroke of 12:00.
This evening is most significant because Anne and I have received a card from Divine Mother wishing us a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas and sending us love and blessings.
New Year's Day January 1, 1964, the three of us went to Old Tappan where I found a lovely card from Jyotipriya waiting for me and also a Christmas card from Mr. T. (my photography teacher) which touched me deeply.
This beginning of the New Year is for me a most peaceful and joyous time. My thoughts are of Mother and offering, dedication and progress with Anne, and a prayer for the success of the Ashram's Handmade Paper business.
